Inquiry Matters: Teaching Content and Literacy Across the Curriculum
The Center for Inquiry will host the third annual professional conference on April 16, 2016. Inquiry Matters: Teaching Content and Literacy Across the Curriculum offers accessible, intentional and systematic ongoing professional development to USC students, faculty and Consortium for Inquiry-Based Teaching and Learning Partner Schools across South Carolina and the country. This year we will host 250 pre-service and in-service teachers from Hawaii to Connecticut. Many of our teachers invite their K-5 students to co-present with them during the conference. The children’s presence and their insights about authentic learning in school make profound and unique contributions. Together, our students and teachers demonstrate what is possible when schools make a commitment to the creation of genuine, rigorous and joyful cultures of inquiry.
